Stay Up to Date — Firmware Updates
To maintain full compatibility between camera and remote, keep both updated to the latest official versions. Connect the remote to the Insta360 app to check for updates.
How to update the remote’s firmware:
1) Open the Insta360 app → Me → Device Settings → Accessory Settings and connect to the remote.
2) If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions.
3) The app will automatically download and transfer the new firmware to the remote—do not turn off your phone screen or leave the app.
4) When the transfer completes, the remote will restart and begin the update. You’ll see progress on the remote’s screen.
5) When finished, you can use the remote as usual.
