How to Use
Quick Start
Mic Air Transmitter (TX)
- First-time use: Press and hold the power button to enter pairing mode. The indicator will flash.
- Pairing: In the Insta360 app select “Add Mic Air”. Once successful, the indicator will stay solid.
- Connecting: The transmitter can connect via Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz depending on your device. Reduce distance and interference for stable audio.
- Auto reconnect: When powered on, the transmitter reconnects to the last device.
- Charging: Place the transmitter into the charging base or connect via USB-C. Ensure charging contacts are aligned.
Mic Air (TX + RX)
Connecting via USB-C Receiver
- Insert the receiver into your phone or camera’s USB-C port. Ensure a secure connection.
- Turn on both TX and RX. Hold the pairing button on RX (2s), then press pairing on TX. Indicators will turn solid when paired.
- Check audio monitoring levels. Adjust sensitivity if needed.
- To switch devices, unplug RX and repeat pairing.
- Charge via the Charging Base or USB-C cable.
Connecting TX to Insta360 via Bluetooth
- Press and hold the TX power button to enter pairing mode (indicator flashing).
- On your Insta360 camera or app, select “Add Mic Air (Bluetooth)” and choose the transmitter.
- For best performance, stay within 10 m and avoid interference.
- Press the shutter/record button on the camera to start recording with audio.
- On restart, the transmitter reconnects automatically to the last paired device.
*5 GHz bands may be restricted in some regions. Follow local regulations.
